Alameda Health System Foundation (AHSF) is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization with a vital purpose of cultivating community support and funding for Alameda Health System (AHS) and all its lifesaving services. Private contributors partner with us to invest in the Health System’s mission of Caring, Healing, Teaching, Serving All.
Over the past 25 years, the Foundation has raised millions of dollars in support of Highland Hospital, Fairmont Hospital, John George Psychiatric Hospital (JGPH), the Wellness Clinics in Eastmont, Newark, Hayward, and Highland (and now San Leandro Hospital and Alameda Hospital) serving as a cornerstone of community caring and leadership.
The voluntary gifts that come from foundation grants, corporations, community organizations, and individuals, help fund equipment, programs and services that help ensure delivery of high quality care to everyone in need. Quite simply, the Health System turns no one away in need of care.
Foundation support – drawing on help from the corporate level, through generous personal and family gifts, and from a basic willingness to help throughout our communities – has proven its worth as a means of making the best care available to all.
We look forward to sharing more about the great work being made possible at AHS, though our fundraising efforts, both with donors and the community.
